Application

Abrasives
One of the primary applications of brown fused alumina is in the manufacturing of abrasive products such as grinding wheels, sandpaper, and blasting media. Its high hardness and strength make it an excellent choice for cutting, grinding, and polishing various materials, including metals, ceramics, and glass.
Refractories
Brown fused alumina is also widely used as a refractory material, particularly in the production of high-temperature-resistant products such as bricks, castables, and monolithic linings. Its excellent heat resistance and chemical stability make it suitable for use in furnaces, kilns, and other high-temperature applications.
Surface Treatment
Brown fused alumina is used in surface treatment processes such as shot blasting, sandblasting, and surface polishing. Its hardness and abrasiveness make it ideal for cleaning and preparing metal surfaces before painting, welding, or other operations.
Other Applications
Brown fused alumina has other niche applications, including the manufacturing of wear-resistant ceramics, anti-skid materials, and specialized grinding tools.

Fused alumina is widely used in abrasive blasting, grinding wheels, sandpaper, refractory materials, and precision casting due to its hardness, toughness, and thermal properties.

The high hardness of fused alumina enables it to maintain sharp cutting edges, resist wear, and provide consistent abrasive performance, making it suitable for challenging grinding and cutting applications.

Scratches appear in the polishing process because there are large grains in the abrasive product, resulting in a poor product appearance and poor cleanliness.

Fused alumina offers excellent thermal shock resistance, high refractoriness, and chemical stability, making it an ideal material for refractory linings in furnaces, kilns, and other high-temperature environments.
